Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR is an extensively researched therapy which has helped people recover from many difficult life situations, including trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, OCD, chronic pain, and addictions. Unlike most therapies, where the focus is on talking, EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (typically eye movements, but can include alternatives, such as tapping) to help reduce the vividness and emotion associated with traumatic memories.
